Exit ramps from Ga. 400 to I-285 in the Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties will be closed nightly in the coming days for “geotechnical investigations,” the Georgia Department of Transportation says.

Detours will be posted, and uniformed officers will assist with traffic control, GDOT says.

The ramp from southbound Ga. 400 to westbound I-285 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Aug. 21-23; and to eastbound I-285, the same hours Aug. 24-25. The posted detour will take southbound Ga. 400 motorists off at the Glenridge Connector exit; they will then re-enter Ga. 400 going north, back to the I-285 interchange.

The work, "weather permitting," is for the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange. Information: http://bit.ly/2jfU8S7
