One right lane of eastbound I-285 from Riverside Drive in Sandy Springs to east of Ashford-Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody will be closed nightly through April 7 as crews inspect and clean drains, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced.

The lane closure is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work is a preliminary to the four-year, $800 million Transform 285/400 project to reconstruct the interchange of I-285 and Ga. 400 in North Fulton and DeKalb counties.

Exact dates of the work may change due to weather and other factors, GDOT said. Motorists are cautioned to reduce speed in work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
