King of Pops — that popular local frozen treat business that doubles as a lifestyle brand — can now add "run club" to its growing list of endeavors.

The free KoP Run Club open to all ability levels and ages, takes place every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday at 8 a.m.

Runners should meet at the KoP walk-up window, located at 337 Elizabeth St. NE, a few minutes early to check in their keys and refill water bottles. A Kings of Pops team member will then lead the group on a two-mile run.

Bonus: Joggers who join the KoP Run Club on the Strava fitness app get a free pop the week after recording three runs.

This new concept is similar to KoP Yoga in the Park, held Sundays at 7 p.m. in the Old Fourth Ward Skate Park.

Since the company began in 2010, it has grown from push carts to brick-and-mortar stores on Elizabeth Street and King of Pops Bar & Good Grub in Ponce City Market. They're also expanding to a larger facility in the Old Fourth Ward.

Other ventures from the company include King of PupsKing of CropsTree Elves, and Perfect10 Foods.
