Summer break is over for Atlanta elementary students enrolled in three year-round schools, which start Monday.

Boyd, Centennial Place and Hutchinson elementary schools are resuming classes after last school year ended June 3.

The year-round school calendar, launched in Atlanta in 1999, is intended to help students retain more of what they learned in the previous year.
