Buford Commissioners recently approved a zoning modification that makes way for the construction of a Wendy’s at the corner of Hamilton Mill Road and South Bogan Road.
The request by Michael Henderson for Wendy’s included the addition of a drive-thru window and flat restaurant roof.
Two residents living close to the proposed restaurant expressed concerns about the drive-thru hours. Representatives for Wendy’s said the drive-thru will close at 1 a.m.
Commissioners approved the request with an added special condition to the permit that allows the city to revisit the drive-thru hours of operation if noise becomes a problem.
