The city of Canton has launched a new economic development website.
Economic Development Manager Matthew Thomas said selectcanton.com went live earlier this month and is designed to showcase information about the city to prospective business startups, expansions and re-locations.
Thomas said that because about 90 percent of site selection decisions make heavy use of online data, the website pulls together information on the city at large, its business climate, economic development incentives, workforce composition, available land and buildings and other data.
Thomas said the site assembles information that formerly would have been available only by searching multiple sites or elsewhere.
