New stop signs have been installed at the intersection of Park Drive and N. Peachtree Street in Norcross to make it a 4-way stop. Motorists will need to begin stopping in all directions the week of Feb. 24.

Prior to this change, the intersection was a 3-way stop with traffic flowing freely on Park Drive heading west from the center of town and through the intersection.

The change follows an extensive traffic analysis that evaluated 24-hour vehicle volumes, peak hour operations, and the most recent 12-month crash history. The analysis looked at existing (2019) and future (2030) conditions for the intersection. Eleven angle crashes were reported at the intersection in 2018. In addition to the 2018 accidents, crash data for 2016 and 2017 indicated a history of angle crashes at the intersection that could be corrected by an all way stop.
