College Park City Council discussed expending funds reimbursed from the city of Atlanta to College Park to replace trees in the downtown area at its first meeting of November. City Manager Terrence Moore said the city hoped to have the trees planted by Nov. 28.

A second round of trees could be ordered and planted in the first week of January.

Councilmember Tracey Wyatt objected because the proper procedure for this plan was not followed, and would vote no to approval of the expenditure. A compromise was reached, and the council tabled the request for approval until the next council meeting, allowing more time for the procedure to be corrected and incorporated as opposed to voting not to expend the funds.
