A splash pad has been approved for Swift Cantrell Park in Kennesaw as a joint project between the city and Cobb County.

Integrated Construction and Nobility Inc. was awarded the $425,770 contract by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Kennesaw also will contribute funds for the project’s completion.

When completed, the city will take ownership and responsibility for the Kennesaw Splash Pad, including all supervision, staffing, security and future maintenance.

The park is at 3140 Old 41 Highway, Kennesaw.

Funding is from the 2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
