Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water will add three new attractions to its lineup of rides and slides visitors flocking to their Cobb County theme parks can enjoy.

The Catwoman Whip and Poison Ivy Toxic Twister will make their debut in 2020, along with new food and shopping locations in the Gotham City section at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell. At Six Flags White Water, a new mega slide will open to patrons visiting the Marietta park next year. The Python Plunge is a five-story water slide featuring swirling discs and “adrenaline-pumping drops,” Six Flags said.

The Catwoman Whip, a 24 open-seat ride, will have a large wheel that spins horizontally while an arm lifts and tilts the wheel to a vertical position. Six Flags says the Poison Ivy Toxic Twister can hold 36 riders at a time. This ride also has a center rotating arm that spins riders in pods, which will go counter-clockwise while the ride turns in the opposite direction.

Park President Dale Kaetzel said both attractions will “be sensational new additions to our ride arsenal that features the biggest and best variety of rides in the region.”

At Six Flags White Water, the Python Plunge will snake users around the edge of the slide at “steep angled bowls.” It  includes two-person rafts that can race along a 500-foot course and “careen around giant saucer-shaped turns before sending guests plunging into the pool below,” the company said.

“Python Plunge is the-first-of-its kind in the region and will be the perfect addition to our impressive lineup of innovative water attractions, solidifying White Water’s reputation as the premier destination in the Southeast for summertime thrills,” said Park Director Greg Fuller.

The slide and rides are expected to open in spring 2020, Six Flags said. You can learn more about these attractions by visiting Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Waters websites.
