March 14, 2013The newly-constituted DeKalb County school board has scheduled its first meeting for 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Gov. Nathan Deal this week appointed six new members after suspending as many last week to avert a threatened loss of accreditation. The six join three members elected last year and spared by Deal.
The agenda was not immediately available, but officials are expected to post it on the school system website — www.dekalb.k12.ga.us — by 6 p.m. Monday. The meeting is at school system headquarters, 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd., Stone Mountain.
