The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners approved a contract for more than $518,000 to construct a roundabout at a Buford intersection.

Peach State Construction Co. LLC will build a roundabout at the intersection of Sardis Church Road and Doc Hughes Road, near Interstate 85. The $518,453.25 contract was the lowest of 11 bids, according to a county release.
Funding for the project will come from the 2014 SPLOST program. County officials did not provide an estimated completion date for the roundabout.
