There’s a new cop on patrol, and he’s extremely hairy with four legs.

The Duluth Police Department is welcoming K9 Clodo, a 1-year-old German Shepherd, to the force. He and his partner, Officer B.K. Kang, have completed “lengthy training out-of-state,” and both officer and K9 are ready to hit the streets.

Clodo is trained to locate missing people, drugs, items from a crime and suspects in crimes. He was born in Hungary, but came to the U.S. to become a police dog.

Clodo and Kang are one of two K9-officer pairs in Duluth’s police department. A veteran K9, Alf, retired in May due to health issues and is living with his officer handler.
