Children visiting the city of Brookhaven’s Lynwood Park, at 3360 Osborne Road, will soon enjoy new playground equipment that includes multiple tube and wave slides.

The playground is provided by the Shinnick family in honor of Liam Shinnick.

The new equipment will be installed across the path from the current playground structures and will be under construction for up to six weeks. The area will be taped off for the safety of park patrons, who are asked to stay clear of the area.

The equipment is on the way, and installation is set to begin next week.
