Atlanta pet owners will have a new place to leave their pets when they go on vacation.

Lucky & Lady will open in early fall at Madison Yards on 975 Memorial Drive in Reynoldstown, founder Ryan Deal told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Deal, 45, said he started the business after having mixed feelings about constantly boarding his own dogs.

“I couldn't exactly find the right solution or place to board them here in the city,” Deal said.

That’s when he came up with the idea to start his own business.

“My genuine love for pets is what really pushed me into this,” he said. The longtime Grant Park resident owns three dogs: two bichon frise rescues and a mixed breed rescue.

Deal said he’s been working on the business since 2016, speaking with experts to make his soon-to-be 6,000 square-foot facility the best in its class. The 24-hour-a-day business will have a valet service and the kind of air purification system one might find in a hospital.

“It cuts down on the stress a pet might encounter while in our care,” Deal said.  “We want animals to leave with the right amount of energy to love the owner back.”
