The sports field lights at Collins Hill Park in Lawrenceville soon will be controlled by wireless signals sent from authorized users’ computers or cell phones. The Collins Hill Youth Athletic Association will pay the estimated $17,000 cost, which includes a warranty and service fees, over the next 10 years. Gwinnett County commissioners approved the arrangement on Tuesday. County officials said the system allows remote control of the lighting from anywhere and provides daily usage records to help control energy costs.
