Kennesaw State University staff, faculty and students will have another incentive to dine at the newly-opened Little Greek Fresh Grill next week.

The Tampa-based fast-casual Greek restaurant chain will hold its grand opening next Monday, and, to celebrate, will offer customers deals on such dishes as gyros and chicken pitas.  KSU students, faculty and staff will also receive an additional discount, according to a press release. Little Greek Fresh Grill Kennesaw, the first location to open in Georgia, opened on Chastain Road location March 21.

“During the week, we will offer $5 gyros and chicken pitas,” Rob Wolfenden, co-owner of the Kennesaw location, said in a press release. “We will also offer 10 percent off to students, staff and administration of Kennesaw State University.”

Wolfenden and co-owner Cliff Longshore have lived in metro Atlanta for 20 years. They have also worked with other national restaurants including Rio Bravo Cantina and Chili’s.

“We’re proud to bring this great concept back to our roots and excited to bring the fresh homemade food from Little Greek to Kennesaw,” Longshore said in a written statement. “There’s nothing like it in the area.”

The Little Greek Fresh Grill menu includes starters like dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and spanakopita (spinach pie), various Greek salads and soups, as well as more filling fare that ranges from stuffed pitas and wraps to skewers to moussaka (casserole of eggplant, potato and ground beef).

The Kennesaw location is opened daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offers dine-in, take-out and catering.

Little Greek Fresh Grill Kennesaw is currently hiring cooks and cashiers, according to Wolfenden. For more on job opportunities and menu options, visit  littlegreekfreshgrill.com.
