A non-profit organization called Urban Perform will unveil its first gym facility in Bankhead on Friday, Feb. 10. The gym is located at 575 Travis Street NW. Urban Perform says its mission is to create a safe environment that serves the inner city, especially the communities of English Avenue and Vine City. Friday evening's grand opening is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will include door prizes, food, and appearances by former Denver Broncos linebacker Al Wilson and Torell Troup, who plays nose tackle for the Buffalo Bills.
