Tripper Sharp, one of the 10 new directors on the Cobb EMC board will be the featured speaker on Tuesday at the monthly meeting of the Cobb Alliance for Energy.

Sharp, who was also one of the plaintiffs in a 2007 member-led lawsuit against the company, will discuss the new direction of the board, including energy policies, electricity rates and the prospects for leadership changes in the Marietta co-op. Sharp was one of two directors who voted in May to begin open board meetings at the co-op in January, but a majority of members approved creating a committee to further study the issue.

The CASE meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Rib Ranch Restaurant, 2063 Canton Road in Marietta.
