The city of Atlanta announced Thursday the creation of three new websites that will give residents access to financial and departmental data. The three websites, Data Atlanta portal, Atlanta Budget Explorer and FORAtlanta, are an effort to maintain transparency. “My Administration has worked diligently to make city government more accountable, responsive and efficient,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “These open data websites demonstrate our commitment to encouraging collective problem solving through civic collaboration.”

The three sites provide public access to data with user-friendly interfaces that make it easy to locate specific information. Data Atlanta provides links to city services, like city crime reports, and serves as a hub for applications and forms from the city’s 311 customer portal and Open Record Act requests. Atlanta Budget Explorer offers access to the city’s budget and finances. FOR (Focus on Results) Atlanta provides information used to measure government job performance across the city.
