Construction partners with the Georgia Department of Transportation will open the new Bells Mill Bridge on Ga. 11/U.S. 129 over the East Fork Little River at Lake Lanier in Hall County on Thursday, June 18.

The project included the replacement of the former bridge with a 661-foot bridge that is wider than the previous bridge and includes shoulders.

Crews will begin working in the roadway at 9 a.m. Drivers are asked to to slow down and pay close attention as our workers will be in the lanes as the bridge opens.

This project was awarded to E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc., along with the Longstreet Bridge replacement for a combined construction contract totaling $34 million.
