Although not open yet, the new Acworth Community Center is accepting applications for spring and summer activities - both for participants of all ages and instructors.

The 44,000-square-foot facility is at the corner of Cherokee Street and Logan Road.

Included in the facility are:

  • two high school regulation basketball courts which also are painted for volleyball and pickleball,
  • a multi-purpose room for about 30 people,
  • a group exercise room with punch passes for purchase (five free visits with pass purchase by end of April) and classes taught through FitnessOnDemand247.com and

There will be free use of the walking track during normal operating hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
