If the long lines at the new Hattie B’s in Atlanta have proved too interminable for you to wait, here’s a workaround — that is, if you’re willing to wait until October.

The hot chicken restaurant has signed on as one of about 100 restaurants for Taste of Atlanta 2018, a food, craft beer, wine and cocktail festival held in the Historic Fourth Ward Park from Oct. 19-21. The 17th annual event will include new elements such as the Race for the Taste 5K Fun Run on Saturday, and on Sunday, the Atlanta Chef Pop-Up Area and "Brunch All Day," a press release said.

Some of the participating restaurants include: Bareburger, Better Half, Bon Glaze, Char Korean Bar & Grill, Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, Hawker's Asian Street Fare, Public School 404, Ponko Chicken, Revolution Gelato, Seven Lamps, Simon's Restaurant, SubZero Nitrogen Ice Cream, Tropics Jerk Center, True Food Kitchen, Waffle House, Wagaya Japanese Restaurant, Who's Got Soul Southern Cafe and Woody's Cheesesteaks.
