Netherworld expands with new facility in Stone Mountain

Netherworld, Gwinnett’s well-known haunted house has completed their move to a new 70,000-square-foot facility at 2076 West Park Place Boulevard in the Evermore Community Improvement District of Stone Mountain. The announcement represents more than 400 seasonal jobs between the company’s Netherworld Haunted House, Escape the Netherworld Escape Games, House of Creeps Monster Museum and event space for corporate and private functions.

“The location was carefully chosen to allow for the expansion of the business while keeping roots in our long-term home, Gwinnett County,” said Billy Messina, co-owner of Netherworld.

The expansion includes two themed event spaces, a monster museum and three escape game rooms that are currently open to the public year-round.

“For more than two decades Netherworld’s Haunted House has been a must-see for visitors from around the world,” said Lisa Anders, Executive Director for Explore Gwinnett. “With the addition of year-round attractions, Netherworld will set a new trend for tourism in Gwinnett.”

In addition to the new facility, Netherworld plans to enhance its operations by optimizing its more than 9.5 acres of property with the creation of multiple outdoor entertainment options, more functional traffic flow and expanded parking.
