Metro Atlanta is experiencing a warming trend that is expected to push temperatures near 90 degrees Wednesday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temperatures were 79 degrees in Atlanta, 74 degrees in Blairsville and 80 degrees in Griffin just before7:30 p.m. Monday.

The wet weather won’t make it through a ridge of high pressure, which means metro Atlanta will remain dry.

Temps will enter the mid 60s by 11 p.m. in Atlanta, Channel 2 meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Temperatures are expected to hit 88 degrees on Wednesday. Thursday could bring an increase in humidity.

Toward the end of the week, there is only a slight chance of rain.
