National tennis tournament returns to Cobb

Cobb County will host the USTA National Open tennis tournament May 14-16.

The tournament, for boys and girls ages 16 and younger, attracts top players, including some currently playing on the professional tour. Past participants have included Marietta’s Melanie Oudin. The draw will include 64 boys and 64 girls who are nationally ranked.

The tournament takes place at the Harrison Tennis Center, 2653 Shallowford Road NE in Marietta.
