‘Mystic Grill' from ‘Vampire Diaries' TV series burns

Firefighters in Covington were battling a blaze Thursday morning in a downtown building used as a filming location for the television series, "The Vampire Diaries."

The fire broke out before 7 a.m. in a building housing law offices on Clark Street near the Newton County courthouse.

The building was converted into the “Mystic Grill” for the CW Network television series.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
