Music teacher charged with child molestation

A self-employed music teacher has been accused of molesting a former student, Roswell police said Thursday.

Brannon Robert Steck, 34, of Roswell, was arrested Wednesday night at his home and booked into the Fulton County jail, Lt. James McGee with Roswell police said.

The alleged incident happened a year and a half ago, but wasn't reported to police until July, McGee said. The female victim, who is now 17, was 15 at the time of the alleged incident.

Steck faces child molestation, sexual assault, enticing a child for indecent purposes and aggravated sexual battery charges.

It is possible there are other victims, police said. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Roswell police.

Steck previously taught at Holcomb Bridge Middle School, but was self-employed at the time of the incident.
