Murrelektronik Inc., an automation system components provider specializing in machine and industrial connectivity, has announces plans to expand its production operations at 1327 Northbrook Parkway in Suwanee. The $2 million expansion at Murrelektronik’s 40,000-square-foot facility will house the U.S. production of M12 and M8 cordset products.

Murrelektronik opened in Gwinnett County nine years ago with eight employees and currently has a staff of 45 in its Gwinnett location. The company plans to add up to 20 more positions in Gwinnett during 2016.

In addition to the expansion in Gwinnett, Murrelektronik recently acquired Data Panel, a Minnesota-based company specializing in custom control solutions for on and off-road mobile equipment and for the second year in a row, Murrelektronik is recognized as a top manufacturer of choice for their cordset products by the readers of Control Design Magazine.
