A fatal wreck shut down all northbound lanes of Ga. 365 in northern Hall County during the late stages of Tuesday's morning commute, authorities said.

The wreck happened shortly before 9 a.m. at Athens Street just north of Lula, according to Paul Marshall, a spokesman for the state Department of Transportation.

Marshall said one person was killed in the crash, which involved three vehicles. The DOT said it would be 11 a.m. before the road reopened.
