Charges were still pending Monday in Friday afternoon's multi-vehicle crash on Ga. 316 in Gwinnett County that left a motorcyclist dead.

According to a Gwinnett police incident report, Ambria Z. Wright, 18, of Ellenwood, was westbound on Ga. 316 about a half-mile east of Boggs Road just before 1:30 p.m. when she "failed to maintain her lane and collided with the guardrail on the right shoulder."

The report stated that Wright over-corrected and the Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, colliding with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Trey E. Phillips, 43, of Lawrenceville.

Two other vehicles were damaged by debris from the guardrail as well as from the Cavalier and the motorcycle.

Phillips and Wright were both taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where Phillips later died from his injuries, according to the report.
