Mosquito spraying will begin this month through September in Douglas County.

The county Department of Transportation’s Maintenance Division will be spraying between 6 and 10 p.m., the most active time for mosquitoes, Sundays through Thursdays.

Residents are asked to assist by emptying anything from their yards that can collect water so that mosquitoes cannot find anywhere to lay their eggs.
