Morrow elects first Asian, black man to city council

Morrow made history over the holidays. The first Asian and first black male council members were sworn into office. Additionally, Hang Tran, a 27-year-old chemist with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is the first Vietnamese to be elected to public office in Georgia, according to the Vietnamese Community of Georgia. One in five Morrow residents is Vietnamese. Chris Mills, 29 and a employee with Sodexo USA, is the first black man to serve on Morrow’s city council
