More than a month later, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has fined the company responsible for an illegal dumping incident involving a bus chartered by the Democratic National Committee.
The driver of the bus, which the DNC had chartered as part of a nationwide pro-Hillary Clinton tour, was spotted dumping raw sewage into a storm drain outside a Gwinnett County auto parts store on Oct. 18.
The Lawrenceville police officer that responded to the scene off Grayson Highway reported "a large amount of drying toilet paper and a foul smell," and the investigation was handed over to the EPD.

On Monday, EPD Director Richard Dunn signed a settlement agreement ordering the previously unnamed charter company — Nashville, Tennessee-based Tour Bus Leasing LLC — to pay a $1,000 fine.
EPD Director of Compliance Bert Langley told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday that the fine was "consistent with how we treat a lot of these minor dumping cases." He characterized the Tour Bus Leasing employee who dumped the sewage as "an inexperienced driver who made a bad decision."
Messages left with the company were not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
