Overnight lane closures will affect traffic in the top-end Perimeter area of North Fulton and DeKalb counties as work ramps up for the reconstruction of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange, the Georgia Department of Transportation advises.

The closures, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Feb. 5-8 affect the right-turn and center lane of the off-ramp from westbound I-285 to Peachtree-Dunwoody Road; one right lane and right shoulder of northbound Glenridge Drive beneath I-285; and one right-turn-only lane from northbound Barfield Road to eastbound Abernathy Road.

Feb. 7-9, work will involve the two left lanes and one left shoulder of northbound and southbound Ga. 400 between Hammond Drive and Abernathy Road.

There also will be intermittent daytime closures of the southbound Ga. 400 flexible shoulder lanes between Pitts Road and the MARTA North Springs station ramp, and daytime traffic pacing on the I-285 ramps to Ga. 400, for tree clearing and other work, GDOT says.
