State highway officials have announced more overnight lane closures this week on I-285 in the Perimeter area as they prepare for the reconstruction of the I-285/Ga. 400 interchange in North Fulton and DeKalb counties.

Nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting, one right lane and shoulder will be closed on eastbound I-285 from Ashford Dunwoody to Chamblee Dunwoody roads; on the Ashford Dunwoody on-ramp to I-285 eastbound; and on the I-285 eastbound off-ramp to Glenridge Drive.

Also, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, two left lanes and the shoulder will be closed on I-285 westbound from Peachtree Dunwoody Road to the Glenridge Connector.

The closures are necessary for geotechnical investigations, drain cleaning and videos, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
