The Braselton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review an application for a large mixed-use development on 229 acres off Highway 211 at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Braselton Police And Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53.

The proposed project would include 457 single-family homes on 183 acres, 193, 341 square feet of retail/hotel building space on 34 acres, and five additional commercial outparcels totaling 7.9 acres. Home density would be about 2.5 homes per acre. The commercial and retail development would be concentrated along Highway 211. A proposed hotel would be similar to the existing Holiday Inn.

Braselton’s mayor and city council will also hold a public hearing on the request at 4 p.m. March 8 at the Braselton Police And Municipal Court Building, 5040 State Route 53.
