A 16-year-old runaway from Tennessee was found working as a prostitute in the Atlanta area, said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The GBI, in a press release, said the agency's Human Trafficking Unit received information from the Nashville, Tenn., police department that led investigators to believe the girl was "being prostituted" in the Atlanta area.

An undercover operation led to the recovery of the juvenile at a hotel in Clayton County. Investigators believe she had been at the hotel for at least 30 days. She was taken to Metro Regional Youth Detention Center and will be returned to Tennessee.

A man who arrived at the hotel room, Huie Herosheio Pollard, 26, of Jonesboro, was arrested by Clayton County police on charges of simple battery on a law enforcement officer, obstruction and terroristic threats. Other charges are possible against Pollard pending further investigation, the GBI said.
