ORIGINAL STORY: Gwinnett County police are searching for an 8-year-old girl last seen walking home from the school bus.
Cpl. Deon Washington said Alida Hightower was reported missing Tuesday afternoon by her grandmother. Neighborhood children said she was last seen around 3:40 p.m. walking toward her home on Castlewood Drive near Lilburn.
She is described as around 4-foot-4 and 75 pounds, and was last seen wearing a pink sequin shirt with black undershirt, blue jeans and knee-high boots.
