Forsyth County authorities searching Lake Lanier have recovered the body of a man reported missing 10 days ago.

Stephen Bryk, 62, of Cumming was reported missing by his family on August 24, Forsyth sheriff's Capt. Tim House said.

"During the search for Mr. Bryk, it was determined that he had taken his pontoon boat out of its dock and onto Lake Lanier," House said.

The boat was later found, and appeared to have had mechanical problems, but Bryk was not on or near the boat.

Bryk's body was found about 5 p.m. Saturday in a cove off Dogwood Trail. House said there were no visual signs of foul play.
