Missing Cobb man, 83, found safe

A missing 83-year-old Cobb County man was found safe Tuesday night, police said.

A Mattie’s Call was issued earlier Tuesday for Charles William Poteat, who had last been seen around noon on Westmoreland Drive in Kennesaw.

Poteat was located in good condition at a Texaco gas station off I-75 around 9 p.m., Cobb police said.
