A Clarkesville man's body was found in Habersham County Tuesday, and a man and woman from Louisiana were arrested and charged with his death.

Gordon Mitchell, 62, was reported missing Sunday after being last seen a day earlier at the Sweetwater Campground in Rabun County, according to GBI spokesman John Bankhead.

On Tuesday, GBI agents, along with sheriff's deputies from Rabun and Habersham counties, found Mitchell's body in a wooded area near Woody Bend Drive. The body was taken to the GBI crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.

According to Mountain Circuit District Attorney Brian Rickman, Frank Joseph Guitreau Jr., 30, and Ashley Gail Hall, 29, were arrested and charged with murder in Habersham County. Officials in Rabun County charged the pair with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, manufacture of methamphetamine and providing false statements.
