Maintenance patching of Providence Road in Milton may cause traffic delays later this week.

Beginning Wednesday, Blount Construction Co. Inc. crews will be patching Providence from Bethany Road south to the Milton city limits, according to a city announcement.

Crews will start work at 9 a.m. each day. The project expected to be completed by Friday.

“The road will be down to one lane, so expect delays and find alternative routes if possible,” Milton said. “As with all road work, the timeline is weather-dependent. However, we have every reason to believe this project will be completed before school starts (in Fulton County) Monday, Aug. 12.”
