Motorists in Milton can expect delays starting Monday, Jan. 20, as the city begins installing two storm drain boxes and a running pipe on the north side of Batesville Road at its intersection with Taylor Road.

The project is expected to continue for seven to 10 days, according to a city announcement. While the road will not be closed, at some point it will be reduced to one lane with a flagger directing traffic.

“There have been issues with this intersection holding water, and this project should eliminate the water from the intersection and any issues with ponding and ice as you approach the stop sign,” the city said. “Please use caution driving through this intersection, and obey traffic signage.”
