Milton is set to hold the first of several additional meetings Monday, July 22, with residents invited to help update the city’s Master Trail Plan.

The Trail Plan Kick-Off Meeting and Open House is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 2006 Heritage Walk. Additional meetings are planned for August and September.

“Over the next two months, planning staff and consultants from Kimley-Horn will be conducting a series of dedicated trails stakeholder and community discussions,” the city said in an email newsletter. A “facilitated discussion” at each meeting typically will focus on a specific target area or trail plan element.

In June, the Milton City Council approved a $107,000 change order to have Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. hold additional community meetings as the city reassesses the alignments of three proposed trails: Crabapple Loop, Deerfield Connectors, and Central Milton Trail.
