Lecoma Trace, a private road between Crabapple Road and Heritage Walk in Milton, will be closed until June or July, city officials announced.

The section of road is closed for construction of The Green, a private green space and park development across from City Hall, officials said. Residents will still have access to the rear parking lot, serving businesses at Crabapple Market on Crabapple Road, from Lecoma and Itaska Walk.

Residents also will continue to have access to City Hall and adjacent neighborhoods by way of Itaska off Crabapple and Heritage off Birmingham Highway, officials said.

“While we recognize that road closures can be an inconvenience, we are excited that this project will bring additional green space to the Crabapple area,” officials said.
