The Milton Planning Commission will hold three public input meetings on the city’s proposal to create a “conservation subdivision” zoning category.

The proposal would require at least 60 percent of land designated for house lots within a subdivision be set aside for green space, preferably in large, contiguous tracts. In return, the developer would be allowed the highest number of lots within the underlying zoning classification. Land-use planners consider such subdivisions as more profitable and less costly.

The meetings are set for: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. May 30 in the council chambers at Milton City Hall, 13000 Deerfield Parkway. A third meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 10 at the Crabapple Government Center, 12624 Broadwell Road.
