North Georgia Recreation Inc. will continue providing boys lacrosse programs to Milton and Alpharetta residents under a Parks and Recreation Department facility use agreement approved by the Milton City Council.

The city will be paid a 15 percent commission from registrations, according to a staff report to the council. Lacrosse leagues, clinics and camps will be held at Bell Memorial Park and Fulton County school athletic fields at Cogburn Woods and Birmingham Falls elementary schools and Hopewell and Northwestern middle schools.

North Georgia Recreation said it would offer lacrosse for boys ages 5 to 14, with one to two after-school practices a week and one to two games on weekends. Resident program fees will range from $170 to $190. Youths not from Milton and Alpharetta will pay a 50 percent surcharge, capped at $90. The entire nonresident surcharge is to be paid to Milton.

More than 550 boys participated in the last spring and fall LaCrosse sessions. North Georgia Recreation was assigned a growth goal of 3 percent for the coming year.
