The Milton City Council has approved a $45,000 task order to have an engineering consultant draw up plans for a trail connecting the Cambridge High School area to the Big Creek Greenway

The Milton Greenway Connector would follow Cogburn, Webb and Morris roads to the intersection of Morris and McGinnis Ferry Road. The design work, by Pond & Co. Inc., is to be completed within nine months of the notice to proceed.

“The currently under design McGinnis Ferry Road interchange (with Ga. 400) includes a trail connection to the Big Creek Greenway at Union Hill Park,” staff said in a memo to the council. “This revised project meets the city of Milton’s goal to connect to the Big Creek Greenway as previously developed” in a concept plan.
