The Milton City Council has approved a $29,310 design contract with Wolverton & Associates Inc. to draw up plans for a “priority sidewalk connection” along Cogburn Road to link Cambridge High School to neighborhoods to the north.

The new walk, about 1,200 feet long, would begin at the end of the existing sidewalk/trail just north of Bethany Bend, on both sides of Cogurn, and extend to Oakstone Glen and Devonshire Farms Way, Interim Public Works director Sara Leaders said in a memo to the council.

“The design services include a concept layout and development of construction plans with a typical section, plan view, drainage, grading, cross sections, driveway profiles, and temporary easements needed to construct the sidewalk,” Leaders said.
